We are delighted to announce that the 2008 NLP Conference will be opened by Steve Gillighan. He will lead the pre-conference workshop on 7 November and then open the Conference that evening. Steve is one of the original co-developers of the field in NLP and has made fundamental contributions to the development of many core NLP models and processes.
